Western Power and ADCO approached Westsun Solar to design and install a 1.2mW commercial solar system for their new depot located in Forrestdale.

Western Power’s Depot
- ADCO – Lead contractor to build Western Power’s $50 million dollar South-Metro depot in Forrestdale
- Located 186 Anstey Road, will create 1,100 jobs for Western Australians
- South-Metro facility will be a central hub for energy services in the Perth metro area
- Central hub for energy services in the Perth metro area
- 850 operational and service employees from the Kewdale, Mt Claremont, Forrestfield and Jandakot depots
- Fleet of 450 heavy and light vehicles
- Includes electric vehicle charging stations, a solar panel micro-grid and a dedicated grid transformation warehouse for research
- Part of Western Power’s depot modernisation program, will meet the growing energy needs of its customers while improving operational efficiencies
